Ariafy, the player I built for myself
For a long time, my music was scattered everywhere. Some on my phone, some on an old flash drive, a bunch of files friends had sent me that never ended up saved anywhere properly. A lot of it wasn't even on Spotify or Apple Music: old recordings, rare remixes, songs that only ever existed in some corner of the internet.
My biggest frustration was with my iPhone and iPad. Adding my own music files, actually listening to them comfortably, and building a simple playlist was harder than it should have been, and nothing I tried really solved it. Every time I wanted to put together a real playlist, I either had to upload everything to some cloud service, or the files would just get lost across a dozen different folders.
That's where Ariafy started. I wanted one place that held my own files, but also let me find and listen to other music without any friction, no uploading anything, no creating an account.
What came out of it is a web-based player that runs entirely on your own device. You install it, it shows up like a real app on your phone or computer, and from that point on, everything stays local.
Works everywhere
One thing that mattered to me was that Ariafy shouldn't be tied to a single device. It installs and works just as easily on desktop, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android: same experience, same library, wherever you are.
Your own music
Add your files, and they stay stored right there on your device, nothing gets uploaded, no server holds onto anything. You can build playlists, reorder them, like your favorite tracks, and even export a backup of your whole library to restore whenever you need.
A curated library
There's also Collections, a curated library of albums and artists you can stream or download directly, organized by genre: Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Classical, Bollywood, and a few more.
Searching the Internet Archive
Looking for an old or rare recording you can't find anywhere else? Ariafy connects directly to the Internet Archive, so you can search it from right inside the app.
The listening experience
The full-screen player shows each track's real waveform, keeps a proper playback queue, and includes a 9-band equalizer for fine-tuning the sound, a sleep timer for late nights, and the option to adjust playback speed or crossfade between tracks.
None of it needs an account. I use Ariafy myself every day, I built it for exactly the thing I needed.
